I'm back...did you miss me?

Hello world, after my brief hiatus, I have returned and I'm in great spirits! It's Friday and today is Flashback Friday. Me and Cov were having a discussion about the best eras in hip hop. I'm an 80's dude myself (before it was cool to be retro), Cov believes it's the 1992-96 years. I chose Warren G's Regulate for today. This is one of my favorite hip hop records of all time. And we had never heard likes of a Nate Dogg before this. Sixteen in the clip and one in the hole/Nate Dogg is about make some bodies turn cold... Classic. Cov, you make a strong argument. Well played sir...

BRB...

I know I know, I missed yesterday's segment which was going to be a picture from my personal collection. Events right now, are making me take a step back from blogging and stepping back into my real life for a minute. I won't be gone long, I'm just setting a few things straight. Hopefully everything will sort itself out by day's end and I can get back to you guys tomorrow. If not, see you soon!

Trivia Tuesday...

As I explained yesterday, I will begin to have reoccurring themes here on the site. Movie Monday was featured below. Next up is Trivia Tuesday. Here I wanted to find random Trivia for you all to enjoy. I wanted to make it a little difficult so it wouldn’t be as simple as just googling it. I was looking around the net and I came across this lil tidbit as an avid NBA fan. So let’s see how many of my basketball fans know this one?

Which current NBA player is the only player remaining that played on the Grizzlies while they were still in Vancouver?

***Here’s a hint for all my sneakerheads***

Movie Monday...Good Will Hunting

Today begins my Movie Monday segment. I simply love movies with great writing and great acting...I know you're like duh, who doesn't? I'm pretty particular about movies and the actors in them however, so if I like an actor I'll watch just about any movie they're in. Here's one of my favorite scenes, from one of my favorite movies, which have one of my favorite actors! Without further adieu, the bar scene from Good Will Hunting with the amazing Matt Damon! This scene is pure ownage! Peep...

Yo, this is amazing footage of a baby being hit by a train! I know that didn't really sound right, but my boy told me about this and I immediately looked it up. It's a must watch!

Dopeness!!!! Ronnie Fieg x Red Wing

Waddup waddup...I consider myself fashionable up on what's hot out there. But not everyone is up on Red Wing boots! I first saw them last year @ J Crew as they have the Classic Irish Settler Red Wings. Those joints are insane! Since then I've been keeping my eye on them. Then boom!!! I get an email that Ronnie Fieg worked on some Red Wings. I saw the pics and was like holy shit!!! These boots are dope. They come out today, last night was the unveiling of them at DavidZ in SoHo. I was soooo pissed that I didn't have my camera with me so the only pics I have are the promo shots! Enjoy though, and get up on these!

Before they were famous...

Growing up, my sister always used to say "Be careful what you do before you're famous!" I love finding these here, stars before they were stars. Now I get it, you do many things before you get on, but I mean things that are totally absurb, things that had no business doing. A la Vin Diesel, breakdancing...I love watching stuff like this. I think I will make it a normal segment on my blog to find some hidden gems. Here for you view pleasure lol!

Peace

Rarely on my blog do you see my studio work. Honestly this is what I prefer most actually. I do events for networking purposes and such, but here's where I'm most comfortable and probably most at peace. I love the places and things I get to see being out in NYC, but again here's where'd I rather be. Here's a shoot I did with the fabulous Ms. Tia. I love working with her. Here's something from out last shoot, shot in my house. Hope you enjoy it as much as I. Leave me some feedback and let me know how you feel about it.

RIME x DJ Clark Kent x PBS the Photographer

I was on hand at RIME in Brooklyn again yesterday for their event featuring DJ Clark Kent. To quote Pusha T "legend in two games like Pee Wee Kirkland", that's exactly what Clark Kent is. If you don't know his impact on hip hop just look em up because I'd be here all day writing about it. And then, after you're done with that, and you don't know his impact on the sneaker game, again...LOOK HIM UP! Yesterday he was at RIME as part of their promotion raffling off the special Nike Dunk Hi Supremes in which he designed! Right now as I'm writing this...I'm getting angry because you have no idea how BIG this really is! It's Huuuuuuuugeeeee! These kicks are crazy!!! Crazy!!!! Crazy!!!! You know what, I'm gonna let my photos do the rest of talking for me. Check em out here!
